MOSCOW METROPOLIA
This interior project was designed for a young creative family — a couple in their late twenties and their daughter. The client’s lifestyle is closely connected to art and performance: the husband is a professional ballroom dancer, while the wife designs and sews stage costumes. From the very beginning, the brief called for an expressive interior with a strong personality.
Initially, the concept leaned toward a bold red-and-black palette with kitsch elements. However, during the design process, the project was completely reimagined. The final concept moved away from excessive color contrasts toward a more refined and timeless luxury aesthetic. Dramatic expression was preserved through materials, scale, and art — not color. The kitchen–living room is the heart of the apartment and the main expressive space of the project. The interior is designed in a luxury style with strong artistic accents and a clear visual hierarchy. Light surfaces are contrasted with deep black elements and warm gold details, while large-format marble plays a key architectural role.
The dining area functions as a focal composition, emphasized by sculptural lighting and refined furniture. The living area features a generously shaped sofa, layered textiles, and statement artworks that introduce a sense of drama and individuality. Glass surfaces, display units, and integrated lighting enhance spatial depth and create a polished, sophisticated atmosphere.

The children’s room is conceived as a soft and calm continuation of the overall concept. A light color palette, tactile finishes, and gentle forms create a safe and cozy environment suitable for a young child.
Decorative wall panels add subtle character while maintaining visual serenity. The interior is designed with future flexibility in mind, allowing the room to evolve as the child grows without losing its aesthetic coherence.
